Frequently asked questions
Vehicles with foreign plates that need to be registered in the UK are subject to the payment of VAT or/and duties. However, the gov is providing some reliefs in certain situations that might reduce the VAT payable or in some case even bring this to £0 — classics over 30 years old often qualify for reduced rates. More money in your pockets!
It depends on the car and who else is involved, so no two are exactly the same. That said, with our full service some customers have had their plates within three weeks.

The registration process is the same even if you purchased a vehicle in the UK with foreign plates without directly importing it by yourself.
For most of the vehicles before proceeding we require a sale receipt showing the amount paid for the vehicle (if dated within 3 months) or valuation made by an UK garage and a picture of the foreign registration document.
